My name is Alexandra. I am an artist specializing in decorative and applied arts, and for over two decades, my life has been connected with wood carving. Since 2009, I have been reviving an ancient form of iconography, "carved icons," creating carved images of Orthodox saints in accordance with ancient traditions and canons.
Every visitor to my workshop can witness the birth of an icon: from the first touch of the chisel on the linden board to the final stages of tempera painting and the shimmer of gold leaf.
For me, this is not just a craft, but a true immersion into the history, spiritual tradition, and very essence of Russian art.
For those who want to not only observe but also try their hand at creating, I offer master classes. The youngest guests can begin by creating a Christmas tree ornament and learn the basics of wood carving. For those who want to delve deeper into the craft, a creative workshop can be a comprehensive training and the first step to true mastery.
